umno boleeeh! lain-lain tak boleeeeh

During the last couple of weeks, the Umno Youth goons repeatedly harrassed and intimidated a man in a wheelchair at his office, his home and in Parliament - and were observed by the Kerbau from Rembau as ‘not their fault - he’s to blame‘ , described by his sidekick Keris as “prudent” and viewed with one eye closed by the rest of Umno.

What do their cops [yes, THEIR cops] do? Take their statements and let them off with a warning.

Yesterday Hindraf went to lodge a police report [doesn't matter what they were reporting, only that it was legitimate and they had a legitimate right to do so].

What do their cops do? Spray them like cockroaches.

Police spraying Hindraf supporters with chemically-laced water from a cannon. (Malaysiakini pic).

Why the difference?

a) According to the cops, they were “unruly” and ”were inconveniencing others” [as diligently reported by NST and The Star]

b) Because one was not a banned group and the other was a group banned by Umno.

c) Umno hates Indians who make noise (including ‘Singh- kings’).

d) Indians are third class citizens who should shut up and stay ‘at the back of the bus’, failing which, Umno will sick their cops on them.

e) Forget a), b), c) and d) – it’s THEIR cops, they can tell them to do whatever they damn well please.

In Malaysiakini, Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim said the move by police to disperse demonstrators filing reports on the health of detained Hindraf leader P Uthayakumar, who is being held in the Kamunting detention facility in northern Perak state, was worrying.

“I protest. People who lodged police reports against (senior opposition figure) Karpal Singh escape while those who defended their friends at Kamunting are detained,” he was quoted as saying by the state news agency Bernama.

On another front, the ridiculous “I-can-say-Allah-you-cannot-say-Allah” debacle continues – first the Home Ministry says cannot, then can, then cannot.

For ONCE they’ve made a right move – [what???] – because the matter is up for judicial review (on May 28) so any decree prior to that would be circumventing the judicial process.

Besides, if Umno allows the use of ‘Allah’ but limits it only to publications that agree slap a ‘for Chrisians only’ tag on their cover, this will have the effect of shackling the press  AND banning anyone else from ever using the term verbally - “kita boleh cakaaaap, you all tak boleeeeh … foreveeeeer.”

That, Fr. Lawrence Andrew, is no victory.

The High Court judge presiding in this matter is one Lau Bee Lan – no chance of her being an Umno member.

On yet another front, Pas’ Nik Aziz declares that the use of the term “bumiputera” is racist AND says “‘Allah’ is allowed for non-Muslims

For ONCE I agree with him.

With Justice Lau, justice Nik and justice Anwar on our side, perhaps soon we’ll see who ‘boleh’ and who ‘tak boleh’.

It’s only three years till another election – time to start convincing those who’ve been getting a tad disillusioned with Pakatan Rakyat that WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE -  unless the Anak Bangsa Malaysia movement registers itself as a political party - it’s either them or we die!!!

Unless Najib does a Mugabe and sends all the above and this blogger to hell.
